The Colony Hotel

At The Colony, we believe getaways aren’t complete without your four-legged family members. That’s why we welcome pets with open arms across the property. From the moment you arrive, your pup will enjoy a special treat at check-in, and you’ll find fresh water bowls placed throughout the grounds.

Our Main Hotel is fully pet-friendly, and we also offer designated pet-friendly rooms in Coveside for those who prefer a quieter escape.

Pet Fee: $45 per night, per pet

Our Pet Promises & Guidelines

To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all our guests—two-legged and four—we kindly ask pet owners to follow these guidelines:

  • Pets are welcome in all public areas of the property and outdoor dining areas as permitted by health guidelines. 
  • Pets beyond the standard dogs and cats must be reviewed before arrival. No dangerous animals or animals perceived to be threatening will be permitted.
  • The pet must have all recommended vaccinations up to date and the owner must provide current records from a licensed veterinarian upon request. 
  • Pets are to remain on a leash at all times while in the public areas of the property.  Our private beach access is also pet-friendly; however, please do not bring sandy/wet pets into the hotel. 
  • Pets may not be left unattended in rooms; the owner is responsible for any property damage or cleaning needed after their stay.  
  • The owner is responsible for pet waste clean-up inside the room and throughout the property grounds. 
  • If the pet barks, makes other noises, or is otherwise a cause of guest complaints, the owner will be contacted and The Colony reserves the right to require the owner to remove the pet or check out. No room fees will be refunded. The owner/guest can be billed for any lost revenue created by the pet disturbance. 
  • The pet owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend The Colony Hotel, its agents and employees from any liability, claims, losses, costs, expenses, and damages, whether direct or indirect (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or relating to any claim for personal injury or property damage caused by the pet.
